Clearblue Digital Ovulation Test, 20 Ovulation Tests: Best Overall
These tests from Clearblue top our list for their accuracy, ease-of-use, and value for the cost. There are no lines to interpret: a smiley face appears when you’re at your most fertile (when your Luteinizing Hormone or LH surges). They promise 99 percent accuracy, and it takes just three minutes for results to appear. There are 20 tests included in the kit. To use, urinate on one of them then insert it into the reusable monitor for your results.
The Clearblue Digital Ovulation Test is an easy-to-use home ovulation test that is over 99% accurate at detecting the fertility luteinizing hormone (LH) surge. The optical reader interprets your result and gives you a clear smiley face in the result window when your LH surge has been detected, identifying your 2 best days to try for a baby.
With the Clearblue Digital Ovulation Test, finding your luteinizing hormone (LH) surge is simple. Follow the test’s easy step-by-step instructions to detect the rise of LH 24-36 hours prior to ovulation.
Clearblue Digital Ovulation Test’s flashing test stick symbol shows you that it’s working. Get clear digital results in just 3 minutes so you can know your 2 best days to get pregnant.
A circle with a smiley face means the test has detected your LH surge, and having sex during the next 48 hours maximizes your chance of getting pregnant. A clear circle means your LH surge has not been detected. Continue testing with a new test stick at the same time tomorrow.
Question: I do not know my cycle length or my cycle length varies. How do I know when to start testing?
If you don’t know your usual cycle length, you are advised to wait for at least one menstrual cycle, and note the length of this cycle, before using Clearblue Digital Ovulation Test. Once you have determined your cycle length you can use the instructions to work out when to start testing.
If your cycle length varies by more than 3 days, then choose the shortest cycle you have had over the last 6 months to work out when to start testing. It is possible you may need to start a new pack and use the new Test Holder and Test Sticks to detect your LH surge.
Alternatively, if you wish to start testing without knowing your cycle length, we recommend you start testing on day 10. (However, in this case it is possible you may miss your LH surge because you have started testing too late or you may need to start a new pack to continue testing.)
- Smiley face is fun + simple to read
- OB-GYN recommended
